“In order to defeat he whom you respect the most, it is more convenient to become his equal. I will have my revenge on you Frost, only after we have become one.”

— Serces reciting his motives to G during Mirror Me Part 2

Closing the Circles Chapter 8 (subtitled Mirror Me Part 2) is the eighth and final chapter of the Closing the Circles series and 15th overall story arc in Legends of Ogaji. It is preceded by Mirror Me Part 1 and followed by The New Elemental Masters.

The focus character is G, and the main antagonist is Serces.

Originally titled just Mirror Me, this chapter was first written in 2018.

As of now there are no full-length episodes written for this chapter yet.

Synopsis[]

Serces vows that he will destroy G and everyone he loves... but the only way to beat someone as powerful as he... is to become his equal.

Plot Summary[]

Serces assembles a small army of Masters of Destruction (Majora, Plague, and Ben Rivers.) They plan on stealing the four Elements of Creation from the Dragon Keepers and powering Serces' Gauntlet of Creation so that he may be G's equal.

The Dragon Keepers combat this by creating a Gauntlet of Destruction. They both steal both sets of powers, killing each master individually, leaving only Kaitlin Rogers (who unlocked her Ultimate Potential), Tom Phan, Gordon Gold, and G.

Serces ends up angering G, and he destroys a fourth of Ogaji in his anger (creating the Edge of the World landmark.) He encompasses Serces in a case of magic and sends him lost in the Ethereal Divide.

Now a fourth of Ogaji is gone, and hundreds died. G and the rest promise to rebuild no matter what.

Episodes[]

There are only two "episodes," and they are called parts due to their length

Author's Notes[]

  • This chapter was originally just called "Mirror Me," but was changed to be a part 2 when the chapter before it was too much like it.
  • This marks the end of the Closing the Circles storyline, as well as the story-arcs for Serces, Jay, Zane, Sammy, Jackson, Crane, Ben, Neuro, and Majora.
    • It also fully closes the doors to Ninjago Earth-17.
  • The Ogajian Elements of Fire, Earth, Shadow, Darkness, Smoke, and Mind are supposedly lost forever in the Ethereal Divide, meaning that no one can be reborn with that Element unless artificially.
    • 6,000 years later, the High Order discover the elements within the Ethereal Divide and harness them. They give these elements to one Oni who is known as All For One.
  • The Edge of the World is created in this chapter, which is a major location in the Rebirth series.
  • I was very happy with the end of this series. I think that I wanted this to be the definitive end to it all for a while, but ideas for a sequel (Rebirth) were not far from my mind.
  • In this chapter, Kaitlin unlocks her Ultimate Potential.
  • This is the second time in the series that gauntlet-like items like the Time Blades appear as the McGuffin.
    • This was actually done because I forgot I already used the Time Blades in World of Snow and Vichy Ninjago.
    • Just goes to show how forgettable those chapters were...
  • This is the second time that an evil version of G would appear, in the form of Serces taking over G's original Nindroid body.
    • This idea came from a theory that the character Mr. E from Ninjago was the Overlord taking the original Nindroid body of the ninja Zane.
      • This is the second time that a Mr. E fan theory made its way into Legends of Ogaji to be used for Serces' story.
    • The first evil G to appear was himself in Doomsday, then himself from an alternate reality in Into the Mult-G-Verse, and Mal-G in Forbidden Quest.
      • This would mean that an evil version of G appears in every main Legends of Ogaji series.
    • The idea for Serces to take over G's old body and be an evil version of him was such a fantastic idea in hindsight. This might be my favorite chapter in the entire series, perhaps second to The Soldier of Light, but a lot of this chapter is really perfect.
